L’Alpage des Fermes, a table d’hôte restaurant with a view in Megève
Perched at an altitude of 1,800 metres on the Rochebrune massif, L’Alpage des Fermes de Marie offers a delightful table d’hôte with a view. After taking the La Caboche or Rochebrune cable car, then traveling by 4x4 or on foot along the alpine pasture trails, you’ll discover an authentic mountain refuge with wooden floors and walls clad in ancelles—weathered wooden shingles—featuring a fireplace, old chests, hay racks, and dressers.
The magical view sweeps out over the cirque of the Col du Véry, Mont Charvin, and the Aravis. Here, you can sip an aperitif made with raspberry wine created by Jocelyne Sibuet—whether over lunch or a full-moon dinner—before tucking into a generous buffet followed by a barbecue featuring homemade pâté en croûte, “stone soup,” polenta sticks, hand-cut mountain ham, and mountain stream trout seasoned with Alpine salt and garden herbs. For dessert, indulge in red fruit soup, blueberry or rhubarb tart, wild berry soup, and homemade clafoutis. And at dinner, a babysitter looks after the children while the adults sit down to eat. A destination for epicurean dreamers.
Staying in one of our chalets? Your Chalet Manager will reserve a table for you at L’Alpage and arrange your trip up to the refuge.
