The Molitor, a modern folk-style chalet in Megève
Just a few minutes’ walk from the village and its bell tower—over which it offers a truly magical view—the Molitor reinterprets everything that makes the mountains so charming and Megève so appealing in a contemporary, graphic style. A large wooden chalet with green shutters and a rustic elegance that perfectly captures the spirit of Le Même. Spanning three floors, Alpine folklore and arty, intimate design coexist in perfect harmony, always with the attention to detail that is the hallmark of Les Chalets des Fermes, whose bespoke 5-star hotel service is a true dream.
A chic, peaceful haven just steps from the village
Less than a 10-minute walk from Megève, the Molitor offers its guests a 330 m² haven that is both chic and peaceful. You feel sheltered from the noise of the world while being right next to the village and its bell tower, which you can admire from the covered terrace, leaning on the large wooden counter beside the balustrade or curled up on a deep, soft sofa. Decorated in shades of green and terracotta, with rich fabrics and beautiful furniture that blends contemporary and traditional pieces, the spacious living room and dining room—which can seat up to ten guests—reimagine the classic Alpine chalet with a sense of warmth and refinement.
An arty, rustic atmosphere
XXL cast-iron bells hanging above the large table, bold contemporary pieces such as the fireplace clad in green ceramic and the irresistibly soft Bulbe armchair, molded wooden door frames, antler chandeliers and hunting trophies, beams and walls enhanced by the brushstrokes of artist Franck Lebraly: the Molitor exudes an arty, rustic, and resolutely modern folk atmosphere. Ibex-shaped bookends, ceramics resembling large fruits or wild animals, paintings of Alpine landscapes, and graphic motifs: every object tells a story.
Five suites and the Alpine art of living
A genuine invitation to share, the chalet’s kitchen opens elegantly onto the dining room and living room. Wood—whether carved, raw, or weathered—is everywhere, as is stone, from the slate floor to the exquisite backsplash behind the large green Lacanche range. Upstairs, the wine cellar features fully glazed walls that create a sense of openness. Decorated in shades of green, white, beige, black, and blue, the five en-suite bedrooms each boast their own elegant and unique décor, with XXL headboards draped in custom-made Italian fabrics. Every room reflects the Sibuet family’s love of beautiful things, as this chalet once belonged to Marie and Nicolas’s grandparents.
A custom 5-star hotel service
After a walk in the woods or a day on the slopes, you’ll happily slip into the Nordic bath on the terrace, overlooking a magnificent panorama that includes Mont Jaillet—unless you’d prefer the sauna in the fully equipped gym. Best of all, the Molitor offers custom 5-star hotel service. You’ll never get tired of breakfast and afternoon tea—ultra-fresh and delicious, since everything is homemade—served every day. The same goes for the fireplace and housekeeping, which the housekeeper takes care of daily. Fancy a dog-sledding outing? Just ask your Chalet Manager—as you would for anything else. A dream.
